Flying

I went to the DC China Town New Years celebration over the weekend. I got a GREAT spot for the parade, on the 3rd floor roof of the building overlooking the great Chinatown arch! It was PERFECT! But for some reason the paraders didnt do anything but walk in file there! GRRR! Moreover, the photographers were allowed to walk freely among the parade so long as they had an impressive looking camera! UGH!

HOWEVER, I made up for it all when I got a front row stage spot for the presentation that followed. I got some really good shots from that

What I did: Only some raw tweaks, a slight gradient filter to lower some of the distracting shimmer on the leg that came from my flash (needed to fill the light on the dragon that was otherwise shadowed from the sky), and cropped it a little to remove a distracting guy in front of the dragon head dancer.
